Non-Discrimination Commitment
Eden does not discriminate in the provision of services on the basis of characteristics protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
Our team follows applicable nondiscrimination requirements and provides information about the rights and protections relevant to a person’s care or inquiry.
Respectful Services
Care Should Be Delivered Without Harassment or Unequal Treatment
Eden expects services to be provided with dignity and respect. A person’s race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, pregnancy status, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or another legally protected characteristic must not be used as an improper basis for denying or degrading services where applicable law protects that characteristic.
Disability & Accessibility Requests
Eden will review reasonable requests related to communication, access, and participation according to applicable requirements, the individual’s needs, the service being provided, and available resources.
Website accessibility is addressed separately in Eden’s Accessibility Statement.
Language & Communication Needs
Tell Eden How You Prefer to Communicate
A client or family may tell Eden about a preferred language, hearing/vision communication need, literacy consideration, or other communication issue that affects the care process.
Tell Eden what communication assistance you need so the team can review the request under the applicable service or program requirements.
Fair decisions and personalized care
Care planning is individualized
Care arrangements consider the individual’s needs, location, requested support and safety, while all service decisions remain subject to applicable nondiscrimination requirements.
Eden treats each person with respect and provides a route to discuss service questions or raise concerns.
Raising a Concern
If You Believe You Were Treated Unfairly
Contact Eden so the concern can be reviewed through the appropriate administrative/quality process.
Clients may also use applicable state or other external complaint processes.
